Owners, general contractors, and developers can invite V&H to bid by introducing the construction opportunity and the work they’d like us to consider. Tell us about the project location, the relevant package, and the deadline for the invitation.
Call (239) 841-6400 or email a project introduction to discuss your bid invitation.
What to Include When You Invite V&H to Bid
A concise summary connects your invitation to the documents behind it. Start with:
- Project identification. Give the project name and site address or roadway limits.
- Your company and role. Identify the party issuing the invitation and the person available for questions.
- Requested work. Describe the roadway, drainage, or concrete scope you want considered.
- Bid dates. Include the submission deadline and any stated deadline for questions.
- Document references. Identify the drawing set, specifications, and addenda relevant to the package.
If the invitation concerns an early opportunity, say which information is preliminary. That makes the purpose of the discussion clear without presenting a developing scope as a finished package.
Show the Boundaries of the Work
Explain what the invitation covers and what belongs to another package. Where construction activities connect, point to the relevant details. For example, a roadway invitation can identify associated drainage or pedestrian work without assuming that all of it belongs in the same proposed scope.
Our services overview explains the three main construction categories. Use it to describe the opportunity in terms that connect to the work.
Share Documents Through the Appropriate Route
In your initial message, identify the available documents and any restrictions on access or distribution. Ask about the appropriate sharing method before sending controlled plans. Where a document set is revised, include its issue date or addendum reference.
An invitation opens a project discussion. Pricing, timing, and the terms of any proposed work need to be addressed against the actual scope.
Confirm the Construction Location
We welcome project inquiries for Fort Myers, Punta Gorda, and Port Charlotte. See Service Areas for location information or Contact for a general business question.
If you’re a subcontractor or supplier offering work to V&H, use the bid room to introduce that participation.
Call (239) 841-6400 or send the opportunity summary to put your project in front of our team.
